 A TV needs to be upwards of 50" to tell the diffence with the human eye at distances greater than the minimum recommended viewing distance anyway.

 

It doesn't. I can tell the difference in my 21" monitor easily.

 

If you're sitting right in front of your monitor, of course. He's saying it's very difficult to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p when sitting the recommended distance from a TV, meaning on your couch, and that is a fact.


It never ceases to amaze me how many people play with their noses virtually pressed against their HDTVs. It's not healthy, nor does it flatter any game.

Hell, even a 480p game with good AA, (e.g. Monster Hunter Tri, FAST Racing League) can look nice on my 32" from a good distance.
