If the programmers don't fuck up developing the engine, that should be possible. Most worl will be testing for all platforms.

Nah, they really don't need to change much on artwork, script-events and the like. The engine was probably developed with cross-gen and supporting all platforms in mind in the first place. So it is really down to testing. That is quite a work, but not too much that it makes a port unustainable.
