Nintendo should make a FPS in the same vein as Tron 2.0. That game is still great and it's very family friendly. It's exciting without being violent. In fact Disney should just give the game rights to Tron over to Nintendo.

I just really want a Tron 3.0.

Haha, that would only make people start saying "nintendo even makes family friendly fps games." While it probably would be a good game, would it not defeat the whole point of building a new audience?

Well I don't care about blood and gore I just like good games. I also don't care about Nintendo reaching new audiences because I'm already part of their core audience. I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games and buy almost nothing other than 1st Party Nintendo games. My Playstation adn Xbox libraries are full of 3rd party games, but with each Nintendo console I buy less and less none Nintendo games for Nintendo consoles. So I would just like to see Nintendo make a great FPS. Metroid Prime is great, but it's less of a shooter and more of an adventure game with shooting in it. I love it, but I'd also love a straight up shooter and since I don't care about if it's violent or not I'd love to see what Nintendo could do with an IP like Tron.

I would love to see nintendo do something new with the fps genre, but will making it family friendly be the right thing for nintendo (from a business perpective)? Also, tron is not a new ip.

Yes, I know it's not a new IP, that's why the first thing I said was "Nintendo should make a FPS in the same vein as Tron 2.0." Then I went on to explain that would mean exciting, but not overly violent.

As for it being family friendly, I really just mean not so gory or violent or adult themed that it can't be purchased by a 15 year old. I gave Tron 2.0 as an example because it's a very good FPS with great art design, a decent story and varied gameplay.

The Metroid games are like that. Fantastic gameplay, but you don't go around shooting bloody holes in other people. You exterminate alien creatures and explore and solve puzzles. All I'm saying is that Nintendo could apply the same level of quality to a straight up FPS and it still be appropriate for 15 year old kids.
