Which includes every sold Move controller (also ones bought as a second or third controller) plus the optional Navigation controller, so don't be surprised if the Move install base is only half of 15m.

Fact is MS got a lot of casual fans due to Kinect which would've never bought the 360 otherwise. Where they came from is impossible to say (unless you make a survey), but some of them definitely came from the Wii userbase, others from "nowhere".

Please note that I'm not saying that Move didn't bring casuals to the PS3.

Why does it matter if it includes both the Navigation controller and the Move controller? From a business standpoint it doesn't matter. They have sold 15 million units of the Move.

No the Navigation controller is not the Move, just like the PSEye is not a PS3, so it certainly didn't sell 15m units. Pretty hilarious actually how Sony tries to make the numbers look better. If the PSEye weren't already released they'd have surely included them too. It's not like the true numbers are bad though.

Then we were talking about how many casuals moved from the Wii to other systems. It's clear that Move, even if it was the only reason for casuals to get a PS3, would not account for 15m of these conversions, because there are people (quite a lot actually) who bought a second Move controller. Therefore using the 15m number in this context when the maximum of possible conversions is about half that number is not a good idea.

Also a nice article to read through (albeit a bit outdated now)

Anyway enough off-topic talk.

OT: Every studio has several unnanounced IPs and certainly not all of them will ever see the light of day.
