That's why I keep using my Wii for Wii-games. That works a lot better with DS-games on 3DS. And I dislike, that they made the Wiimote a secondary controller. Can you use the menu without a gamepad at all? I should try that. |
I also missed a better integrated BC. When you pop in a Wii disc it should boot it up directly instead of going to the Wii menu (or checking for a Wiimote), and there should have been a day one option to make VC/WW shortcuts on the WiiU OS... Most likely do my transfer if they ever fix it up. I see this as a bigger problem than the OS speed everyone complains about.

Thanks for the answer, and no, I don't have the Wii U yet, I'm interested but there are things I don't like, like this for example, the way they did all the transfer thing instead of account system. So, if I understand correctly from what you're saying, I may have all my save files and games on an SD card on the Wii. But once I do the transfer, even using ANOTHER SD card, the one with all the stuff will be blocked and completely useless? O_o Edit: I mean, useless in the old Wii... you see, I'm looking if it's possible to have your games on both systems at the same time |
Transfer means to move from one place to another. It doesn't say copy but transfer. They move your Wii's drm, save files and Miis. There was no uniform account system for all Wii owners (some did have their purchases linked to their Club Nintendo), so they use this method.
I didn't want to move all my content to Wii U just yet, only some save files and Miis, had to do it manually by creating the Miis and passing the save files one by one (having runned the games beforehand, seems to be a requirement).
