I'm thinking it will do about 150k - 200k this year and do about 500k - 600k lifetime. If it gets ported to other platforms I could see it breaking 1m.

Ok on which Plat should it get ported too? Its already on the console where J-RPGs sell...The Wii is to weak for NiNoKuni and the WiiU doesn't sell at all at the moment. The 360?Not even Final Fantasy(13-2 on the PS3 that already sold like crap destroyed FF13 360 that were massively hyped and advertised as a 360 exclusive in the west) is managing to sell there decent. And that was at a time where the 360 still got some J-RPGs.
The only thing we have to find out is > Why NiNoKuni didn't sell in Japan that much and why no one was interested in it.Its the best J-RPG in this Gen(together with Xenoblade that surprisingly did bad too) and it does ride on the Tales of wave that is at the moment bigger than the Final Fantasy Multiplat Maingame wave.
NiNoKuni is right now in Germany i think on Nr1 in the PreOrder Charts and pretty much everywhere else high ranked too i think.Even in the USA its in the top10 right? Should be able to reach 1 Million if they advertise it right America/EU combined.Still 20 Million to low for its quality(another prove that quality doesn't matter for gamers these days) but better than nothing.

I have a fundimental belief that all 3rd party dev should use multiplatform tools/engines and release their games on all platforms that can handle it. So if I had my way that would mean that Ni No Kuni would be on PC/PS3/36)/Wii U. I believe that the era of 3rd party exclusives ended with the PS2's dominance. Publishers should never limit their potential audience to just one platform even if it will sell best on it. With a multiplatform engine it takes little money/time/effort to reap the rewards of extra sales. Ff13 PS3 sold 4.91m and on 360 it sold 1.92m. Nearly 2m sales was worth the port and now it's unlikely that Square will ever invest in big exclusives ever again, unless a hardware company pays out the wahzoo for it.
