Would you have bought the Wii U if it did not have a gamepad?

I really don't like motion controls for most games. Wii was something i never considered until it hit $99-130 price point. On the other hand i see myself getting Wii U. It is pretty much standard controls with the added functionality of touch-pad and using the screen as semi portable device.
