Ben already said that Gamestop is predominant for pre-orders and the 320k number is worldwide. USA accounts for 68.5% of all Gamestop stores.
220k for the US and 100k elsewhere, but Americans buy about twice as much WiiUs as Europeans, so I'd say that 270k units were sold in US stores and the rest from Europe (and Australia and other countries), which make it one quarter of all US sales.
Actually I don't even know if I need to take 50% or 33% away from the European sales and give it the the Americans....
Let's just say between 253k and 270k in the US :P
