Just to be clear, I loved Crysis 1 (yes, the gameplay). I thought Crysis 2 was atrocious and fits the image that many have for the series (all graphics, poor gameplay). But the funny thing is Barozi is opposite to me in liking Crysis 2 while not being overly fond of Crysis 1. So yeah, people actually do like the gameplay of the Crysis series for various reasons.

That's not even true. I really like Crysis 1 >.>
Crysis 2 is just more linear (and with some ugly AI bugs), but more diverse and better at storytelling.

Gun play is essentially the same and that's still the main part of the game, so I still don't understand why you dislike it so much.
