I hunt and fish which means I kill animals myself, cut them up, cook them and eat them. When I grew up my parents would raise a steer or a heifer for a year or two and then slaughter it. I helped take care of it and then I helped slaughter it. The beef I eat comes from a local farm and is humanly slaughtered. I know where my meat comes from and I am well aware of nature of life and death. Animals aren't people so your alien analogy falls completely flat.

With that said, I don't approve of the mistreatment of animals that big corporations cause.

However, nothing will stop me from enjoying meat. An hour long propaganda piece on meat isn't going to "open my eye" or make me rethink anything. We are all part of the same ecco-system and circle of life. We earned the right to be at the top of the food chain. Animals are rightfully our food and we are the stewards of the ecco-system that we climbed to the top of. Animal abuse and neglect disgusts me, but local ranchers here in Oregon don't mistreat their animals.

My advice to you is to buy locally sourced meat products from trusted small businesses. Go to a butcher for meat instead of Safeway. Ask where it came from and if the butcher can't tell you the rancher's name go to another butcher.

Fight animal abuse not meat eaters.

I just hope if aliens ever do decide to visit us they dont think like you in the bolded parts.

As for the rest its good you at least care how the animals are killed xD.

We don't eat aliens that think that way. We have enough animal predators, that might kill and eat human (mostly kids, adult humans are often too big to be attacked). So, what do you think: is a lion a morally bad animal?
