Yeah, and the Wii was going to outsell the PS2 and the DS will never pass the PS2 and the PS3 would win the 7th generation and Nintendo would never release their next console first and tablets and phones would never affect handheld devices etc.
A lot of things never happened and never will happen.
Besides, the number of people who thought that the Vita would do well this holiday season when there was any indicator of such, are bound to be severely limited in number.
I still don't understand the OP's amazing hatred for the Vita, the most harmless product on the market right now, hardly a threat to anyone, especially Nintendo. Or is it simply some childish form of gloating? Hard to say. If one were to make "wasn't -insert object or event here- supposed to?" threads for major events this generation, Nintendo would not come out of it more favourably than the others, perhaps even worse.
