That would be cool, but games with pointer-usage of the wii-remote will not work. But great for games that use only buttons and stuff.

No, but do you really want to point on the WiiU gamepad with a remote? It makes only sense in my opinion for games, thathas inputs that can be mapped to the gamepad inputs. That should work for most of the games I play, but probably not for Just Dance.

When there is a need, you find a way. I'm sure people would be able to play IR games by putting the Gamepad on the stand, it can be awkward but it is possible.
