the CPU should by all means be fast enough to load the menu way faster than that especially considering there seems to be 1GB of ram reserved for the OS alone - imo that can only be some buggy programming and I expect this to be ironed out pretty quickly

That's reassuring. Honestly kind of a show-stopper for me since I'm a pick-up-and-play gamer.
