People allways argue even when there are very specific console details readily available. The machines are allways so different that people can twist them to mean anything they want. For instance the Dreamcast did some very unique things to optimise graphical output. If it had not been killed so early we could have seen it pull off things the arguably more powerfull PS2 only did after years of developer R&D.
That's why I think it's more important to find out how people feel about a console's power. Graphic ability is seen as a percieved as value by potential buyers.
