Maybe Iceland has some strange educational system as well. I've seen it before that people did not count Mexico towards North America.

You are infact wrong as Mexico is clearly North America, the only thing called South America is the big continent called South America, but you may be mistaking what is considered "South America" to you as what people simply call Latin America, which includes nearly every country actually south of United States (though not every one but almost).

I know that, infact I say that was wrong but I have seen people calling Mexico part of Southamerica in here and the internet in general
