It does, but I'm not sure if more than a couple of games will support it. Maybe Call of Duty and Pikmin 3 will, but I can't think of any other launch window titles that even support it as an option. As a general rule, local multiplayer games seem to assume that any additional controllers will either be Wiimotes or the Pro controllers.
