Bold: That's the problem. When you have cheaper options that do the same thing, except they lack the Apple logo, you're allowed to trash talk them.

Iphone 4/4s can't do a lot of things that the much cheaper options can. 

I am very new to smart phones, and I am not sure just what each one is capable of doing. I assumed they all do the same basic things like make phone calls, text, run apps, and take pictures. Before I actually buy an iPhone, can you list some of the "lot of things that the much cheaper options" can do? I would hate to be misinformed about my purchase and waste a lot of money for nothing.

Customised launchers and screens

Install apps from 3rd party vendors

4G

Video calling over 3G

Increase memory via micro SD

.......

That's just off the top of my head.

iPhones only sell to people who like shiny stuff.

Like many have said...... "iPhones are a smart phone for dumb people"
