It is fun to hear people talk trash about what ever phone choice the "other" people make. It follows along the same lines as comments about choices for gaming consoles. In the end, it makes little difference which smartphone you get, as they all do about the same job.
As for me, I have never owned a smart phone, and I look forward to purchasing the iPhone 5 when it comes out. I chose Apple because I own an iMac and iPad, so it will fit very nicely with them. Having said that, I think the S3 is a very cool phone as well. I would be happy with either one, but I know the S3 will not sync with my other Apple products quite so easily. That, and the fact that I really love the Apple interface, which I am very familiar with.
In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.
