Wii points being offered is a bit... maybe they could offer, for registration of the products, more stars than your 249 bundle.

About the wiipoints... well, given Nintendo's new focus on digital content that we've heard about, giving the customers some free points/money to allow them to try it without regrets would be a good idea.

They gave away 1000 points to early DSi adopters, so they could do something similar with the WiiU... although they didn't do such thing with the 3DS, just a free title.
