With every generation I buy less 3rd party games on Nintendo system. My Wii is basically a Nintendo 1st party machine. I didn't want motion controls but I had to accept them to play Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc. I had no reason to buy any 3rd party games when I could buy all the best 3rd party games on other platforms.

It's not that 3rd parties can't compete with Nintendo's 1st party games. It's that people don't buy Wii's to play gimped MW3.

Right, and if we re all in agreement tht that's the fault of the third parties, then there's no argument.

It could be 3rd party publisher's fault. Or it could be that the Wii was developed with a Nintendo vision that 3rd parties didn't share. I suffered through motion controls to play Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. I wish I could have used a regular controler instead, but I had no choice. 3rd parties had a choice. Support the Wii or skip the Wii. I can't say I blame 3rd parties for choosing PS3/360/PC while the Wii's was so much different. But it doesn't really matter who's fault it is. It's a reality. Nintendo doesn't make hardware for 3rd parties. Nintendo makes hardware for themselves, for better or worse.
