No it does't show any of those things. There were people who thought the PS1 had better graphics than the N64. There were people who debated whether the Wii had better graphics than the PS2...some still think the PS2 has better graphics for that matter.
Most make these arguments because it puts them in higher standing with Sony and Micrsoft was well as there fanbase. They are saying what they want to here.
Of course this may be another scenario with words being taken out of context like they were with the Tekken devs comment. It doesn't sound like he is stating what the console can do at max. He's saying what he has observed it to do at the least as far as I can tell.
Fact of the matter is that every known Wii U third party game is outputing at higher resolutions and frame rates than the PS3 or 360 on top of rendering to a second screen. That says enough.
