Well it sells on the strength of its games and the price of the system in the emerging markets... people dont actually think its selling to new adopters in the developed nations do they?

I dont think it sells much in the major markets.   If it shipped 4m or 5m last year i'd say less than 10% of that is in major markets and the majority of those that are shipped to the major markets will be purchased as replacement consoles.

Ironic that the legacy of ps2 and psp have been part of the problem for sony this gen.

doesn't matter. it's still selling and that's the primary point of this thread.  WHY it's selling or WHERE it's selling or WHO is buying it is completely irrelevant to the simple facts. You're just arguing for the sake of arguing (an emerging trend I'm noticing)
