Doesn't fit at all. Shin'en work for themselves. They are no Nintendo devs. Nintendo doesn't own them nor pay them for their realeasing on their systems. They hold no special place with the company. Thats something that only happens with Sony and Microsoft, not Nitnendo. Nintendo has said their piece on the matter they are sticking to it.
There is no lack of or subpar technical prowess.
No substancial evidence has ever apparead stating that the Wii U was subpar. There are only anonymous people who claim to be devs who not only make claims that have no technical details or proof attached, but also state things that all visible facts completely refute. The existence of articles and their validity are two different things.
They are more than likely fanboys posing as developers who are making claims that people want to be true and thus report/accept, and then there are real developers who are saying the exact opposite backed with technical and visible proof.
There is no bleak outlook for anyone aside for Nitendo haters who want the negative rumors to be true and thus accept them as fact while promoting them everywhere they can despite the lack of anything factual.
