Indeed they do, which is hilarious since President Obama got snippy with reporters when they asked him if the new health care laws would ammount to a tax.  Surprise! They do.

I do think it's quite an exaggeration that an ineffectual healthcare reform is going to cause a recession.

The real problem is the precedent. They can force you to buy health insurance; why not American cars? Government bonds? Anything else?
