Nintendo: Wii U could become "preferred" Call of Duty platform!

That doesn't matter at all. You just don't get it do you? Nintendo is late to the party, people have already been playing those games and they WILL sell like shit because of Nintendos low core base at launch. You will have to be a true Nintendo fan to buy the Wii U with the offerings they are already showing. They are pandering to the PS360 crowd with the same games they've already been playing. Not smart....not smart at all. The only people who I could fathom buying the Wii U for multiplats are core Wii only owners who never got to touch those games before (Which are an even smaller minority than on the PS3/360).

I pretty much agree with you here. I think, NSMBU will do the heavy lifting and sells console and Pikmin 3 is sweetening the deal for some people. Batman and Mass Effect will not sell much consoles, as many people already own these games. Assassin's Creed may be a different story, it will be released shortly before the holidays. Maybe WiiU will be already out then, maybe it will come a month later. But people already know ACIII will be released on this platform and may wait for the launch before buying the game. Darksiders comes earlier, but may also worth a wait. I think the message Nintendo wants to deliver for now is: This time we also get the multiplats. ACIII and Darksiders 2 hint, that future multiplats may be released at the same time on WiiU.

But the first system-sellers have to come from Nintendo. So far it's only NSMBU. As usual the third-parties will only release their big guns, if a decent userbase was already created.
