i think agree.  when there is no information provided the false information becomes more likely to be propigated.  as nintendo makes real statements the rumors around that (like the only supporting 1 gamepad thing) simply go away.

George M. Cohan once said, "I don't care what you say about me, as long as you say something about me, and as long as you spell my name right". So, can bad news still be good publicity? This way Nintendo gets double the coverage, fake news and real news. Still ethics are an issue, people in the media need to be responsible whenever they are sharing news.
