Problem is the person who informed you, Mr. Browder, didn't explain it correctly. The Wii U pad uses a touchscreen interface just like the DS, meaning you have no "big meaty sausages called fingers always in the way" but you use a stylus that adds higher dexterity and precision needed in the strategy genre. *sigh*

Browder did achnowledge that having a touchscreen moving a cursor on the TV is better than the iOS devices.
