"Controller specs will be awesome" apparently means "clickable thumbsticks."

Screw you third party devs. Nintendo was the last holdout. Now thumbsticks will be worse at their primary job all the time so that you can use sixteen god damn buttons on a controller whenever your game designers can't say no to anything.

How exactly does making the thumbsticks clickable make them WORSE at their job?  The 360 and PS2/3 thumbsticks are way better than the N64, GC or Wii's thumbsticks ever were in terms of comfort, durability, and responsiveness.

And not every game uses the clicking thumbsticks or all 16 buttons, but at the same time without them the Wii U would be at a big disadvantage when it came to major 3rd party titles that utilize such features on all other platforms.  Like it or not, the gaming industry is moving towards a more unified gameplay and console architecture next gen that will reduce development time and costs over the long run significantly.  Long gone will be the days of systems with completely unique controllers and hardware that essentially forced developers into making 2 or 3 completely different versions of the same game.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
