I'm going to go out on a limb and call Square's announcement will be FF Versus 13 on 360. The game has been in development hell for ages and to cover those costs Square is going to want more money than half the market can provide on just PS3.

Nope. It's Tomb Raider.

Nope, Even if FF V 13 doesn't go multiplatform at E3 it will eventualy go multiplatform. The engine is multiplatform and Square knows half the market is on Xbox 360. FF13 was the test. FF13-2 was the proof. FF V 13 will go multiplatform as well as all future FF games. The industry has changed and there is no longer a single platform that a 3rd party publisher can solely survive on.

Yeah the test to see that no one cares for Final Fantasy on the 360.
For example > Tales of got a huge boost cause Xillia was PS3 Exclusive and so would Final Fantasy.

FF13 - 4,90 PS3   compared to 1,87 on the 360....That was cause people still had hopes for Final Fantasy and didn't expect that the 360 would influence the PS3 Version so much.
FF13-2 -  1,90 Million PS3  compared to 450 000 on the 360 WORLDWIDE.
Cause people are angry at SquareEnix for favoring the 360 the whole Gen - Their HUGE Fanbase is on the PS3 and in Japan.
Look at Tales - It is now more loved than Final Fantasy cause Bamco has seen where the fanbase is.

And what was the proof? The PS3 Version outsells the 360 version by a huge mile even if Microsoft is buying up Deals and SquareEnix Bosses?
The only proof we have is that the REAL Fanbase starts to hate SquareEnix and starts to favor other J-RPGs.

Half the market doesn't mean anything if only 1% of half the market is interested.Cause those few % would buy a PS3 for that game.
And Versus 13 could sell 4 Million alone in Japan if its a PS3 Exclusive - Quote me on that if it stays an exclusive.
Japan has high hopes in Versus 13 and of course Nomura cause he LOVES the PS3 and hates the 360.This affects sales a lot in Japan and a little bit in Europe too.

It will be some Eidos game or a W-RPG attempt from SquareEnix that will be Multiplat anyway.

FF 13 on Xbox 360 made Square $112m. That's not chump change. Since Square is using a multiplatform engine and it takes very little effort to port their games now, it would be incedibly stupid to ignore that kind of profit. Not only does it increase profit, but it broadens exposure. Square fans may have stuck with Sony awaiting PS3 games, but that won't be the case in the future. Square will continue to reach for the largest mass of potential buyers as they can.

Oh and Square cut up and changed FF13 long before it was ported. The Xbox 360 port may have delayed the game, but it was already finalised. Anything wrong with the game would have been the same had it stayed a PS3 exlusive.
