@Pineapple

Thanks to posts like yours. But what some others of us brought in are some fundamental points in judging games.

You'll say that gameplay comes first, and nowhere in this thread did I say otherwise, but in one place. I'm not sure if you read it.

"I always put gameplay before presentation, but there is an exception to the rule, and anyone genuinely interested in this thread, I'm making it mandatory for you to read this:

The exception to the rule is that when presentation is so bad in my eyes that it deters me from playing, that's where I find issue. For example, you can say Punch Out!! Wii had reasonable graphics and good gameplay, but whenever I think of turning it on, I am repulsed by the idea of having to listen to the god-aweful voice acting and wacked out caricatures.

That's where the nay-sayers are blocking. They don't understand that it's the exception and not the rule. If they took a second to listen to me and ask genuine question and consider the answers, they would understand this basic concept, that it's the exception and not the rule. Hence why they call me graphics whore (Runa) or excuse maker (Rol)."

It's thanks to users like you that this thread actually never evolved past the point of understanding the premise. I have yet to really have interesting dialogue with like-minded individuals... Who's fail, mine or yours?

Stay lame people
