@mizzy
Thank you.
I loved Rayman Origins. The art design was spot on and the gameplay was in my opinion much better than NSMBWii.
You might find this funny, but I loved Donald Duck's "Goin Quackers" on the Cube. I mean, the presentation was okay, but the game played well and I generally enjoyed the experience. The presentation was good enough so as to keep me playing.
I always put gameplay before presentation, but there is an exception to the rule, and anyone genuinely interested in this thread, I'm making it mandatory for you to read this:
The exception to the rule is that when presentation is so bad in my eyes that it deters me from playing, that's where I find issue. For example, you can say Punch Out!! Wii had reasonable graphics and good gameplay, but whenever I think of turning it on, I am repulsed by the idea of having to listen to the god-aweful voice acting and wacked out caricatures.
That's where the nay-sayers are blocking. They don't understand that it's the exception and not the rule. If they took a second to listen to me and ask genuine question and consider the answers, they would understand this basic concept, that it's the exception and not the rule. Hence why they call me graphics whore (Runa) or excuse maker (Rol).
But I don't care anymore, this thread will continue with or without them. I plan on asking you, my friends, more questions as to why you may feel like I do, and how we can better deal with it, how to anticipate it, and for what franchises and series, and where we see potential for something finally satisfying our needs, as gamers, as consumers.
Thanks for trying and managing to understand my PoV. It was tough, but not that tough once you're trying. Cheers mizzy.
