Wow, I love how the Wii U has been confirmed to have a Power 7 CPU and a fancy Radeon in it.... even though no specs have been released and no specs have been talked about. But let's say rumours are true for a second, the worst that has been said is that the CPU isn't gonna cut it. Why isn't it going to cut it? My guess is that a lot of processes have to be wasted to take game data, compress it, and them stream it out. But even then that doesn't sound right since the PS3 does it just fine (Though to be fair, Cell was pretty much designed to handle compression technologies), though a Power 7 card should be able to handle it fine. Unless, Nintendo decided to start scaling back the hardware for a lower price point, it should be fine. Though I think they might have scaled back; it costs 20-30 dollars to make for the controller, that's 20-30 dollars less they can throw into the CPU or GPU. For comparison purposes Cell cost Sony 89 dollars for each PS3 sold at launch and that was a high end processor to make at the time.
