Other than number 1, this list would have probably been different had I seen this thread just a few hours later, but currently this is how I feel.

1. Warcraft 3

Near perfect rts combined with the best mod support ever in a game. The dota mod created a genre which is quickly becoming the most popular on the internet. League of legends has over 15mil active users. Dota 1 averages well over 100k concurent users on garena. Dota 2 is in closed beta and yet is one of the most popular games on steam and heroes of newerth's peak concurent users is higher than any game on steam currently, and thats just the big players. RTS and MOBA games happen to be my 2 favorite genres so warcraft 3 is my favorite game by a very very big margin.

2. Halo 3

Thousands of matches played, ridiculously detailed stat tracking, enjoyable coop campaign, and forge mode giving unlimited replayability and insanely creative maps mean this shooter is about as good as it gets in terms of a competitive console fps. Since I didn't start playing PC fps games till recently, I actually prefer playing  fps games with a controller than a keyboard and mouse which is why I rate halo 3 higher than any pc fps.  Gotta have that vibration...

3. Pokemon Blue

Though I think pokemon is a very stagnated series that has had no noteworthy improvements since gold/silver, I still remember the original very foundly. Not only was it the first video game I ever owned, but it was simply incredibley fun and addicting. Infact it was the most fun I ever had with a handheld game.

4. Metroid Prime

The very first fps I've ever played and boy was it incredible. From the epic boss fights, to the briliant puzzles, this game had it all. And scanning, for some reason I was very addicted to scanning...

5. The World Ends With You

I am not a very big jrpg fan but I really enjoyed this game. The pin collecting had a very "gotta catch em all" feel. The combat was incredibly engaging and took advantage of the DS's unique controls. The story was entertaining, and the bosses were fun and challanging. Though to be honest this game probably wouldn't have made my top 5 list if hadn't first played it only a few years ago.
