Okay I saw the article on the front page earlier than this thread so I will comment again.
It's surprising that these numbers include Nav controllers and probably always did. So it is unclear how many use this optional device. Certainly enough to round this number to 10 million. Then to get the actual userbase we must of course figure how many bought a second Move controller. Usually it's about 2 for every owner. Given the benefit of the doubt there are about 6 million unique Move owners.
Attach rate for Sports Champions is so much higher, because it was part of the Move bundle in the US. In Europe there was only a demo disc in the bundle. Just look at the sales and you'll notice that NA sales are higher than all other regions combined and that's certainly unusual for a PS3 game isn't it ?
