Given I am not a religious person I do not care as a reflection of me, but I think it is better if any game Nintendo passes up for being too mature, it might as well be this one.

Given how it mostly shows how Isaac (the crying baby) is running for his life, it completely counters the message of atonement as portrayed in the book of Genesis. It also demonizes the event by portraying the binding as an unholy murder, whereas in the biblical story it was meant as a holy sacrifice. Ultimately Christianity explains this as a symbol of God's holy sacrifice of his only son, Jesus, for the sake of humanity. The game portrays it more as a demonic act.

It would be similar to depicting circumcision as a crime against babies. In other words, it's clearly anti.
