Keep final fantasy exclusive to Sony platforms. I am sure Square enix will look at the sales of the 360 version and keep versus 13 exclusive to ps3. It doesnt make sense to waste money on porting a game when it will barely sell a million on the 360.

So they wont want $60m in revenue for a port that would cost a fraction of that?

People have gone crazy this gen... by your logic all the PS3 games that sold barely a million were abject failures and shouldnt have ever seen the light of day, even more so considering they may not be ports and therfore would have much larger spend than this simple port.

Yeah... you're right, almost $200m in revenue for the 360 versions of FFXIII and FFXIII-2 is a waste of everyones time.

Get a grip.

Seriously, out of everyone on this I taught you might have seen sense. The sales for final fantasy on the 360 are pathetic and no where close to the ps3 counterpart. Of course you are not going to admit that but instead pull imaginary numbers out of your arse. For one of the most recognised franchises all of time, square enix should be worried that they couild barely push half a million on the 360. Yeah you are all well and good picking numbers out of your arse about profit but at the end of the day the sales are well below expectations and everyone knows that.

"by your logic all the PS3 games that sold barely a million were abject failures and shouldnt have ever seen the light of day"

Again what a terrible comparrison. These franchises such as yakuza or motorstorm are not system sellers like final fantasy and are very niche. They don't have multi million dollar ad campaigns with leona lewis singing the main theme song. When there is such a huge disparity in sales between the ps3 and 360 you have to wonder is the user base really the same.

Sales on the X360 need not be anywhere near the sales on the PS3 for them to warrant an X360 version. SE will make money out of the X360 version, worry not. A more poignant concern is the fact that FFXIII-2 sold substatially less in Japan on the PS3. This whole debate owes more to PS3 fans being sour 'bout SE acknowledging the X360 as a relevant platform.

No, it has to do with how the 360 versions of these game sell like *bleep* and yet they still get exclusive DLC.

Acknowlege the 360 as a platform, just don't piss on the most loyal of your fans. Square Enix announced Verus XIII as an exclusive for PS3 so it better stay that way.

the exclusive dlc i could see you get angry about, even though it is completely trivial dlc. I still can't understand why the actual game exclusivity matters. Its not like the lead platform is going to be on the 360 so I don't understand why making a port on a different platform would bother you. Were you going to buy a 360 if you had known Versus was multiplatform? Because if not, there is absolutely no reason to care whether another platform is getting your precious game. I mean seriously... Is it that important for you to be able to show off Versus XIII in random exclusive list war in the future?

Also as already stated. A million extra copies is a lot... Regardless of the "prestiege" of the game. Square has made plenty of Final Fantasies that never even sold 1mil, so yes they are quite happy that a port passed that mark rather easily. And all that advertisement not only helps the 360 version, but the ps3 version as well. Ofc sales won't match the PS3 version. Japan alone will guarantee that. But in the west xiii sold only 33% more on the ps3. So clearly that are plenty of people who enjoy jrpgs and only own a 360.
