In order for me to actually voice an opinion on my interest, I'd like to know what games Nintendo considers as a strong lineup.

Zumba Fitness and Just Dance are strong titles but they're not games that I will play. Assassin's Creed, Arkham City and Skyrim are all big titles but I'm not going to buy a Wii U for games I've already played.

I'm not really that skeptical (well, I sound like it) about the launch lineup. I just need a real confirmation at E3 of what I'm getting myself into. If they are new games I will like, I'll give the WiiU a shot. If they are ports and games that don't peak my interest, I'll probably hold off on it for a little while until the decent lineup shows.

In all likelihood, Nintendo's first party lineup will be the reason to buy a WiiU for me.

Well we all know that there will be a bunch of multi-plat games and ports on the Wii U launch. Pikmin 3 was being developed for the Wii (not anymore) so that will probably be a launch title. Zelda and even Super Smash Bros. have long dev. times so they will not be for a while according to mulitple online sources. Really is hard to tell, since Nintendo is keeping their stockholders and everyone else in the dark, at least until E3.

Would a Mario game, Wii sports type of game, and Pikmin 3, along with some other 3rd party games interest you? Or will they need to do more?

Sports games have limited appeal to me. It all depends on what kind of Mario game we are talking about. Platforming, yes. Kart racing, most likely. I don't really care for Pikmin but the tablet might change my mind depending on where they go with the gameplay. If they decided to launch with Smash Bros (and it actually happens), then I might even first day purchase the WiiU.

Axumblade, it seems Nintendo will focus the Wii U's launch on casual yes, but also on online. Some of their known launch titles are Dragon Quest X (also on Wii) and Ghost Recon Future Soldier Online (will also be on PC), neither of which are Nintendo games. This tells me that possibly, yes, Nintendo may even have Smash or Mario Kart online ready for launch. I may be wrong, but that's my prediction. E3 will tell ;) But all in all, if that's true, there's much to be excited about. We are all looking forward to a deeper online experience on a Nintendo plat!

With a software drought on the Wii in BOTH 2011 and 2012, you know the software gears are turning hard at Nintendo under the veil. I say prepare for a massive launch tbh.
