Move and Kinect have different data sets so you can't just compare their total sales. You have to factor in the difference in how the hardware is sold. Each Kinect sale is equal to 1 "user unit". Move can have up to 4 sales for 1 "user unit".
For the user install base of Move we should ignore everything, but the Move's Eyetoy sales. If you buy 1 Move set and 3 more Move controllers, Sony can only add 1 sale to their install base, not 4.
Since Sony isn't giving us filtered numbers, we really have no accurate way of calculating the gap in total user install bases between Kinect and Move.
