I was never aware that there was particular grief that Skyrim in particular was not on Nintendo platforms.

Nintendo fans (like myself) bear some scorn towards Bethesda and Zenimax as a company for how they have deliberately avoided supporting Nintendo platforms over the years, but that is irrespective of the games they deliver. I fully expect for there to be an excuse when it comes time as to why Skyrim, or any other Bethesda/Zenimax game, can't come to Wii U

Hey, didn't they publish that super awesome hardcore mature Wii racing game, Wheelspin?

You really shouldn't judge them on that anyway. Even in the heights of the PS and PS2, those 2 consoles only ever got 4 games... All of them some Drag Racing game. They had 100 Million and 150 Million sales respectively, and still couldn't get serious Bethesda support because the hardware wasn't good enough for the vision they had.

You want to know how popular/big those drag racing games were? Take a look at the Wiki for them. Tons of information.

Actually... Before this generation, PS consoles only had 1 game more from them than Nintendo consoles. The Xbox had 3 games from them. That's right. Before this generation, Bethesda treated Nintendo equal to Microsoft in the console market. Bethesda have always done what they think to be best for the games they release. It's why they never released a PS2 version of Morrowind, despite that console being the most successful ever, everywhere (At the time).

If the Wii was a HD console, it would currently have Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim. Then again, it probably wouldn't have done as well as it has as a console. The way I see it - Nintendo can't have the best of both worlds. They can't expect to release an under-powered console while the 2 main (and expected to do better in sales) competitors are both blowing them away, power-wise... And then still get the same support as those other 2. Especially when they're targetting a totally different market to what Bethesda make games for.

Thats not really bad, they also made this piece of shit of a game
