You seem to be saying that any issues with Sony Ericsson are nothing to do with Sony...   It is a JOINT venture - 50/50 - so they have just as much say as Ericsson

...and that chart looks ok when compared to Sony Corp. Sony as a whole haven't made a full year profit for the last 3 years.

Its from my own personal experience.
and no , they don't handle shipments , just hardware manufacturing
