Isn't that a bit unfair? In recent years, Intel has released a new socket for every new gen of CPUs (s1366, s1155, s1156 and the coming s2011) and people didn't complain. Why can't AMD do it? You could buy an AM3+ socket motherboard months ago while keeping your Phenom II or Athon II CPU and now just drop the a new Bulldozer CPU and it will work. OT: I hope AMD delivers, as that would mean competition... so we (consumers) will win.
