Games were far more scary when I was a kid but that was simply because I was far more easily frightened. Just looking at the cover art of resident evil for the gamecube left me sleepless for days. As for games this gen, while none have terrified me, bioshock had some scary moments at the beginning of the game when I had no fking idea what was going on. (My friend just game me the game, I hadn't seen any reviews or trailers for it.) Amnesia the dark descent was also pretty scary
