Its odd for a AAA game not to increase in the last month or so before release. I think this does in some way reflect the marketing (lack of) behind it. The beta really pushed preorder numbers and they still continued till E3. But since E3, and maybe even during E3 itself, there hasn't been much to show.
If you look at youtube trailers for the big 2011 games, MW3, AC3, BF3, Halo CE, Skyrim, Saints Row, Tomb Raider and even Dead Island have received millions of views. The Gears of War 3 ''world premier'' and ''gameplay demo'' have not yet even hit a millions in views, its just the IGN E3 gameplay vid that has 2 million views.
Now a games sales has nothing to do with youtube views but it sure does show how much interest a game is getting. Will have to see in the next couple of weeks but at this rate, it doesn't look like it will have a bigger week that Gears 2.
