@ Ameratsu:
"good 3rd party games and people buying these games are essential for a successful system. i've yet to see that 3rd party games sell well on the wii (remakes aside). i'm still wondering if the bulk of the wii userbase cares about anything other than nintendo games and multiplayer party games. "

Red Steel. RRR and RRR2. The Trauma Centre games. GH3. Mario & Sonic (though I can see why you may not count that one). Spider-man 3 sold fairly well, and Harry Potter sold better on Wii than either of its' competitors. Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution is doing well. The Budokai Tenkaichi games are popular, too. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga outsold both competitors combined IIRC. Medal of Honour Heroes 2 is selling well. Even the Madden games, which traditionally haven't done well on Nintendo consoles, are selling well. Tiger Woods sells extremely well on Wii.

Yeah, so don't even go there.

Not EVERY quality TP game is selling well (Zack and Wiki is the biggest example), but the same is true of all consoles, of all generations. Think Lost Oddyssey, Beyond Good and Evil, Killer 7, for just a couple of examples.

Though I do agree that a lot of the Wii userbase only plays party games.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
