If Nintendo releases strong first party titles to drive hardware sales, only their games sell and third party can't compete. If they let the third parties pull the hardware, third parties are scared to publish their games and wait for Nintendo first party games to pull hardware. You can never win.
What is your opinion on the third party launch titles? I think they are reasonably good. I didn't really follow the DS much went it was released, how was that handheld release?
