As for the actual sales -

Huge surprises. PS3 is winning, leading the Wii and 360 despite the late 2010 sales. Actually 500,000 units in front of the Wii, despite a Wii pricecut, and almost 900k in front of the 360. The 360's Kinect momentum has died down, and the console itself is in need of a defrib. Goes to show what happens when you actually have exclusive games for your platform.

Price cuts for the PS3 and 360 are pretty much guarenteed in the next half, it's just waiting to see who blinks first. I think both PS3 and 360 will beat Wii for the Year.

The 3DS has been a huge disappointment so far. It's like the PS3 was when it first released... And it's actually still behind the PSP for the Year... Who'd have predicted that, 6 Months ago? Will it get a pricecut?

Most of the huge, huge drops are coming from Wii and DS. DS is understandable, as the successor is finally out, but the Wii has been a disaster this Year for Nintendo. Completely mis-managed. Iwata, Reggie and even Miyamoto have screwed up big time here. The Wii could have been so much more over 2010 and 2011...

2.5/3 Million of the YoY drop is coming from Wii, 3/3.5 Million of the YoY drop is coming from DS. 1/1.5 Million is coming from PS3/PSP combined, for comparison. The 360 is the only console to be actually UP YoY, and that wont last long now...

As for Software - Meh. Way too many bundled numbers added into them totals to bother actually saying anything

Edit:

The PS2 is actually doing better, when compared to its 2010 performance, than the Wii is with its own 2010 performance. That says a whole lot, really. I know the PS2 is only going against tiny numbers in comparison to Wii, but the PS2 is a console in its 11th Year on the market, with quite literally no new games being released for it... Something needs to be changed at Nintendo.
