I think many people will agree that the Microsoft Press conference wasn't that special, and the PS3 portion of the Sony Press Conference was also fairly lackluster. Both focued a good amount of already announced upcoming titles, and both lacked new exclusive releases. Which do you think was worse? To make things simple:

Microsoft announced 8 new games, 6 adult themed ones (Halo CE Remake, Halo 4, Fable, Minecraft, Dance Central 2, and Kinect Sports 2), and talked about 4 other larges ones (Gears 3, Forza 4, Star Wars Kinect, Ryse..aka Project Kingdoms). Two games are Kinect exclusive. Total 10 games.

Sony Announced 4 new PS3 games (Dust 514, Sly Cooper, Starhawk, and God of War Collection), and talked about 4 other large titles (Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, InFamous 2, and Sorcery). One game is a Move exclusive. Total 8 games.

Both devs ignored multiple games.

MS ignored 17 previously announced Kinect titles, of which at least 5 are major (Project Dragon, Steel Batallion, Rise of Nightmares, Heavy Fire, Gears of War: Exile, etc). They also ignored XCOM and MechWarrior.

Sony ignored Agent, The Last Guardian and Twisted Metal.

So which developer was worse?

Well Minecraft and Dust 514 were both multiplat. I think MS ignored XCOM because it is now multi and the same may be true for Agent. I have no idea why MS ignored Mechwarrior unless it was pushed back for their next console, but no Alan Wake baffled me even more. I was sure Sony was gonna talk about Twisted Metal and The Last Guardian may be shown at TGS. MS may also be waiting for TGS to show their Japanese Kinect titles. As far as 360 vs PS3 I would have to say the 360 won because Sony was focused more on the Vita.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
