What? By that logic then they should port DQ X to the 3DS and cancel it on the Wii then since the Wii is apparently not "viable" anymore.

No because DQX has been in development since 2008, while the otehr ones might have recently started development. I doubt they have been idevelopment since 2009 or before because it wouldn't take much time to make a spin-off compared to a mainline game.
