I just have no idea how soon (or late) they will be doing this and I'd be pretty torn if I bought one now and they announced that new 3DSs would be coming with a bigger battery or better screen at E3. Good choice, namely with the store being up by then, and more quality titles being released. Plus this winter season you should be receiving at least mario kart or super mario 3D.
Also 3DS battery life running DS games is really great, it is when running 3D that the battery life is harmed.
