why o why are these comments still being made. Companies ship a lot extra when their titles sell very well and are expecting to hold legs because retailers want to make sure they have them in stock.
Kinect a freaking piece of hardware, which takes up far more space then software had 700k units in stores at the end of the 2010 according to vgc. 8mil shipped, 7.3mil sold. If you want software of similar scale, halo 3 was at 8mil shipped and 6.9mil sold according to vgc at the end of 2007. GT5 sales to shipment ratio is perfectly in line with this especially considering far more retailers around the world need to stock gt5 and I'm assuming it still hasn't gotten a pricecut in emeaa, its biggest region, to drive sales. Though I may be wrong about that.
At the most it is undertracked by 300-500k. 1-2mil is just laughable.
Anyway I hope this list gets updated as well.
